All Are Welcome

Our Young Adult Ministries

We provide care and service ministries specifically targeted to young adults, and of course young adults are welcomed in most of our adult activities.

Specifically for young adults we provide:

College Care

College Connections

An action group which provides connections with young adults who are still part of the congregation but away at college. We provide care packages to college students during exams. Activities are also planned when college students are home on break. During Christmas holidays and Summer Breakfasts, young adults gather for Kaffe Konnect.   We celebrate their graduation from high school, college, and/or graduate school at the annual Graduate Recognition Sunday: A Celebration of Vocation.

Armed Service Member Support

Connecting with Persons serving in the Armed Services

We provide connections with young adults who are still part of the congregation but away serving in the armed services. We provide care packages. Activities are also planned when post high school young adults are home on break. During Christmas holidays and Summer Breakfasts, young adults gather for Kaffe Konnect. They may serve as mentors at Lockins and Cat Camp

Young Adult Connections

Connecting with Post High School Young Adults

We provide connections with young adults who are still part of the congregation but working in the area or attending a local college. We provide care packages for all college students and young adults in the armed services. Activities are planned when post high school youth are home on break. They are invited to join youth and adults at Project Help or Bible at the Beach in the summer.

We celebrate their graduation from high school, college, and/or graduate school at the annual Graduate Recognition Sunday: A Celebration of Vocation.

There is a fellowship opportunity every Sunday in room 117/119 for all people.

Service Opportunities

They are encouraged to serve as mentors at Lockins, Cat Camp, LifeKeys: Find Your Fit. They are invited to join youth, young adults and adults at Project Help,  Adult Mission Trip in the spring, or Bible at the Beach in the summer.

Project Help

Senior High youth, college students, and young adults join with adults to help repair homes of persons who live in Starks, Maine. East Parish Housing Ministry uses volunteer work groups such as Holy Spirit to rehabilitate houses for persons in need in Somerset and Franklin counties. We stay at Camp of the Eastward in Starks or in student housing at the University of Maine in Farmington.

Project Help is an annual transforming, spirit-led, community building week to serve other people. Truly AWESOME! For information, contact Chris Carter.

For specific dates and forms, please check under youth ministry service opportunities.
