Holy Spirit has a very active seniors group called Prime Timers, composed of people who enjoy getting together for fellowship, good conversation, and positive experiences. We have several special interest groups. We are lifelong learners both of new experiences and of having fun together.
Our group is composed of singles, couples, and people with diverse backgrounds and interests. Although the majority of our group is composed of members of Holy Spirit we have some members who have been invited to join us from other churches in the area, or friends of group member, so we are both diverse and ecumenical. Please click here for a listing of upcoming events.
We normally get together for a breakfast meeting monthly where we have fellowship, share past events and hear of the upcoming activities. We also indulge in trivia to sharpen our minds and sometimes laugh at what we don’t know. Coffee and home baked goodies are offered. We meet at Camp Olympic when the weather is nice or, if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we meet at church. If you have any questions, Renee Wetherhold is our coordinator. You can contact the church office 610-967-2220 ext. 101 for more information.
Trips, Arts and Entertainment
This is a planning group that looks at new exhibits in the area, new attractions at museums nearby, band concerts and new restaurants opening in the area. Every month we visit a museum or a special historical place and also an inviting restaurant often with a foreign flavor. Suggestions are welcome.
The Book Reading Group meets once a month from 10:00 am to 11:00 am to discuss a selected book. You can check the Calendar of Events for the next meeting date and book title.
Movie discussion and Lunch
Our movie discussion provides a chance to get out and enjoy company, watch a good movie and go out to Perkins for lunch afterwards to discuss it. We meet in rooms 117-119 at church 10:00 am monthly.
